Weekend Notary

Mobile Notary Appointments on Saturday and Sunday

Weekend requests are almost never about speed. They are about the calendar: the signer works weekdays, the family is only in town Saturday, or the person who has to sign is finally free.

Our posted hours are 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM seven days a week, including Saturday and Sunday. Weekend appointments are scheduled the same way as any other day and are subject to availability, so contact us to check the time you need.

The problem we solve

Why weekends are their own scheduling problem

Most walk-in notary options are attached to businesses that keep weekday hours — a bank branch, a shipping counter, a law office front desk. On Saturday and Sunday those options thin out right when families finally have time to sit down together.

Weekend signings also tend to involve more than one person. Adult children drive in, a spouse comes home, a business partner is available for the first time all week. Getting everyone in one room is the hard part, and once it happens nobody wants to lose the window.

That is why weekend appointments reward planning rather than improvisation. Reaching out earlier in the week with the location, the document, and the people involved is how a Saturday afternoon slot gets held instead of hoped for.

Documents we may encounter

Weekend requests span the same range as weekday requests. Whether any specific document requires notarization is determined by the document, the receiving party, or whoever prepared it.

What to have ready

A weekend appointment leaves less room to fix surprises, because the offices that could answer a question are closed.

  • The complete printed document, including every page and any notarial wording
  • Acceptable, unexpired photo identification for each signer
  • The exact address, plus parking or building access details
  • Confirmation of who will actually be present to sign
  • Any witness instructions from the document or its preparer, arranged in advance
  • A daytime contact number in case plans shift
  • A backup time in case the first slot is already booked
Please do not sign in advance when the applicable notarial procedure requires signing in the notary's presence. If you are unsure whether witnesses are needed or which notarial act the document calls for, check the document itself or ask the person or agency that prepared it. Mobile Notary Philadelphia does not provide legal advice.

Important signer requirements

The day of the week does not change what a notarization requires.

  • The notary must be able to identify each signer using acceptable identification or another method allowed under applicable law.
  • The notary must be able to communicate directly with each signer at the appointment.
  • The notary must be able to determine that each signer is acting willingly for purposes of the notarization.
  • Documents that must be signed in the notary's presence should not be signed before the appointment.
  • Weekend availability is not guaranteed for any particular time. Contact us to confirm the slot you want before you plan around it.
